Seniors Bureau has found a new home

The Seniors Information and Resource Bureau continues to provide services to seniors in the North Okanagan

Many seniors in the North Okanagan rely on the services provided by the Seniors Information and Resource Bureau, but some may have recently been left wondering where to find them.

Formerly part of the Social Planning Council of the North Okanagan, the Bureau is now under the umbrella of services provided by the North Okanagan Employment Enhancement Society (NOEES).

“While we tried to make the transition seamless”, said Dayle Drury, manager of the Bureau, “the move happened very quickly; we need everyone to know that we’re once again open for business.”

The Seniors Bureau is a vital part of Vernon and assists more than 3,000 seniors annually in the North Okanagan. The free, drop‐in centre provides help with filing taxes, filling out forms, finding rides to appointments, identifying suitable housing and much more. Funding is provided by Interior Health.

The Bureau is now at NOEES on 30th Street across from the old library. For more information, please phone 250-545-8572.
