To celebrate Family Literacy Day, the Summerland Library will hold Read Around the Clock, a 12-hour day of reading on Jan. 26.

The 12-hour day will begin at 9 a.m. Throughout the day, readers will read a variety of material from history to poetry to spooky stories.

Earlier, readers were invited to share a favorite story or poem during the day.

Library staff said the response from the community was strong, with every spot during the day filled.
