The Surrey Prostate Cancer Support Group is having its next meeting on Jan. 28.
The organization holds supportive gatherings on the last Saturday of every month for men affected by prostate cancer and provides awareness, public education, advocacy, support and research into the prevention, detection, treatment and cure of prostate cancer.
The Surrey group covers members throughout Tsawwassen, Ladner, North Delta, Surrey, White Rock, Cloverdale and Langley.
On Jan. 28, Dr. Michael Peacock from UBC Radiation Oncology will speak on Prostate Brachytherapy treatments and effects. Men diagnosed and treated for prostate cancer, spouses and guests are welcomed.
The meeting takes place from 10 a.m. to noon at Valley View Memorial Gardens, 14644 72 Ave. in Surrey.
