Members of the Friends of the Summerland Library Society and the Okanagan Regional Library staff were given a tour of the new Summerland Library branch last week.
Construction of the new facility is expected to be completed by late August. The budget for the building is $4.5 million, including the purchase of the land, demolition of old buildings on the Main Street property and site improvements.
Funding came from the Okangan Regional Library. Summerland residents contribute around three per cent of the regional library’s costs.
