After a successful event last summer, bestselling authors Rick Antonson, Brian Antonson and Mary Trainer are returning to Chapters Langley to discuss adventure travel, local history and the writing and publishing process on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m.
Antonson is not your typical tourist. His newly released Full Moon over Noah’s Ark: An Odyssey to Mount Ararat and Beyond is a case in point.
The book chronicles his ascent of the fabled mountain in eastern Turkey and his independent travels to some of the most dangerous territory in the Middle East, including Iran and Iraq.
His previous books include Route 66 Still Kicks and To Timbuktu for a Haircut. So while he’s ‘holidayed’ in Iran, Iraq, Mali, North Korea and Papua New Guinea, Antonson admits to never have visited Rome.
Antonson also co-authored the bestselling Slumach’s Gold: In Search of a Legend and Whistle Posts West: Railway Tales from British Columbia, Alberta, and Yukon with Brian Antonson and Mary Trainer. Brian is the former Associate Dean of Broadcast and Media Communications at BCIT.
