Do you love culture? Then come and create, participate and celebrate it at the Greater Vernon Museum & Archives during the fifth annual Culture Days weekend.
Drop in anytime between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sept. 26 and 27 to take part.
“We’ve created a fun activity the whole family can play called Spot what doesn’t belong,” said Denise Marsh, marketing and communications coordinator for the museum. “Participants will use their eagle eyes and smarts to find the artifacts that don’t belong in the museum displays. We’ll be using a number of displays with varying levels of difficulty.”
Craft stations will also be set up to get those creative juices flowing.
In addition, women and young girls alike will be captivated by the recently installed Evolution of the Wedding Gown exhibit.
“This beautiful exhibit showcases a small number of the wedding gowns in the museum’s collection, spanning seven decades,” said Marsh, adding that the earliest wedding gown on display dates back to 1908, with the most recent worn in 1961.
This is a free community event in celebration of culture.
“Don’t forget to also take part in all the wonderful cultural events scheduled in the community over the Culture Days weekend.”
