Walk with your Docs

Oceanside Division of Family Practice event draws a good turnout once again

WALK WITH YOUR DOC: This year’s Walk with your Doc was tremendously successful. Throughout the week of May 6-12 about 250 doctors and 2,700 people from all over B.C. took steps towards a healthier lifestyle. Oceanside hosted three walks with eight physicians and about 80 area residents. The first two walks with doctors Johannes Wagenaar, Peter Haslett and Penelope Bartlett in Qualicum Beach merged with doctors Hugh Fletcher, Ashraf El Karsh and Catherine Edge on Beach Street. Their walkers included recently elected MLA Michelle Stilwell. Parksville physicians, Dr. Satish Desai and Dr. Mark Morris invited patients to meet at the gazebo at the beachfront community park. The Oceanside Division of Family Practice would like to thank area residents for supporting physicians and for bringing their enthusiasm to this annual event.
