Ellie Pattison, a resident at the Summerland Seniors Village, celebrated her 101st birthday on June 24. Pattison was born in Emo, Ontario, the youngest of three children. Her mother died when she was six years old and Pattison later wondered if she would live long enough to see her children grow to become adults. Today she has four children, six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She has lived in Summerland for the past 21 years.
