Abbotsford Police are investigating two separate armed robberies that occurred Tuesday night, including at another Subway location.
Just before 9:30 p.m., a lone man entered the Subway restaurant in the 1900 block of McCallum Road. Sgt. Casey Vinet said the culprit was wearing a mask and holding a gun.
He obtained an undisclosed amount of cash, fled out the back of the restaurant and left in an unknown vehicle.
He is described as 5′ 6″ to 5″ 10″ tall, with an average build and wearing a dark hat with a red brim, a black puffy sweater or jacket, black gloves, black footwear and carrying a dark-coloured backpack.
His face was fully covered.
This is the fourth robbery of a Subway restaurant in Abbotsford since Sept. 4.
Later that night, just before 11 p.m., two masked men with guns entered the lobby of the Best Western Bakerview Inn on Sumas Way and demanded money. They fled with an undisclosed sum in an older-model vehicle.
One suspect was described as 5′ 6″ with a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, dark gloves and a blue-and-black backpack.
The other suspect was described as Causcasian, about 5′ 10″ and wearing dark gloves.
