Parm Sidhu will take over as the Abbotsford International Airport’s new general manager.
Sidhu is replacing previous general manager, Mike Pastro, who retires on April 30 after working at YXX since 1987 and serving as the general manager for more than nine years.
“We are very appreciative of the years of service that Mike provided to the airport,” said Dave Holmberg, chair of the airport authority.
Mayor Henry Braun said the city would like to thank and acknowledge the contribution of Pastro, adding that “we are very excited to welcome Parm into the position of GM and we look forward to working with him.”
Sidhu has worked at the airport for the past 15 years alongside Pastro as the director of airport operations. He assumes his new role May 1.
