Accessibility the focus for committee

The City of Vernon’s newly formed accessibility committee has been created to address barriers to inclusion in the community.

The committee’s goal is to ensure the independence, dignity and security of residents.

“The committee will identify emerging accessibility issues in order to provide city council with recommendations so that they can consistently work towards an inclusive environment for the city,” said Coun. Juliette Cunningham.

“The committee is made up of community members who have experience in the area of accessibility challenges.
