Aldergrove Neighbourhood Services officially celebrated their recent merger with Family and Youth Services Society last Tuesday evening with a champagne reception as part of their annual general meeting.

This was a community event with agency partners, funders, volunteers, board and staff in attendance.

Outgoing president Kim Prokopchuk, who has served on the ANS board for five years, welcomed the community and thanked them for their support over the last two years of the merger process.

Staff from both FAYSS and ANS were officially welcomed and thanked for their trust and support throughout this process. Lynne Topham, ANS executive director, recognized the community and staff for their contributions, noting that, “an achievement of this magnitude is not possible without an incredible support system.”

At the business meeting following the reception, 10 new directors of the board were elected into office. Jeremy Lyndon was elected to the position of president and Prokopchuk will remain on the board as past president.

The expanded organization will continue to operate under the name of Aldergrove Neighbourhood Services and following a re-branding process will eventually evolve with a new name. The organization serves children, youth and families throughout the Langley community.

Its administrative location is at 20618 Eastleigh Crescent, Langley.
