Alleged drunk driver rams Barley Mill, hotel

A 55-year-old female was taken to the hospital after ramming her car into a Penticton pub and motel.

At 5:15 p.m. April 20 RCMP were called to report of a car driving into the Barley Mill Pub then into a building at the Shielings Motel on Galt Avenue.

Police are awaiting test results to determine whether or not the woman who drove her car into a Penticton pub and hotel within a short time frame Wednesday was intoxicated.

At 5:15 p.m. April 20 RCMP were called to report of a car driving into the Barley Mill Pub. A female backed into the building with her car, police said.

A short time later, the same female in the same car drove into a building at the Shielings Motel on Galt Avenue.

A 55-yr-old female driver of a a 2012 Kia Optima was taken to the hospital. Police said the driver showed signs of alcohol impairment and blood samples were obtained for analysis.
