Oceanside RCMP say located the suspect’s black Jeep Cherokee and made the arrest on Monday. Upon arrest, police say the suspect lied about his identity and provided identification belonging to another individual. Once the real identity of the suspect was discovered, a police query revealed the 44-year-old Lower Mainland man who recently moved here with family, is in custody awaiting a court appearance.
The proposed charges are theft under $5,000 (x 3), identity fraud, obstruction and possession of property obtained by crime.
