Anglemont man found with load of bud

On Thursday morning, Chase RCMP stopped a pick-up truck and the officer noticed the smell of cultivated marijuana.

He may have resisted arrest, but the RCMP got their man after a traffic stop near Pritchard.

On Thursday morning, Chase RCMP stopped a pick-up truck and the officer noticed the smell of cultivated marijuana. He then arrested the 65-year-old Anglemont man for possession of a controlled substance.

The man resisted and back-up officers arrived to assist and subdue the suspect.

A subsequent search of the truck turned up a large quantity of dried marijuana.

Charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking are being recommended to Crown Counsel.
