Armstron recycling depot opens

Armstrong Bottle Depot will accept all materials in MMBC’s packaging and printed paper recycling program

Starting Tuesday, Armstrong residents will be able to take their packaging and printed paper recyclables to the Armstrong Bottle Depot as it joins Multi-Material B.C.’s network.

Armstrong Bottle Depot will accept all materials in MMBC’s packaging and printed paper recycling program, including non-deposit glass bottles and jars, plastic bags and plastic foam packaging, along with curbside recycling materials such as newsprint, cardboard, household papers, metal containers, plastic containers, and paper packaging that held liquid when sold.

“The Regional District of North Okanagan is one of eight communities in B.C. where MMBC is directly delivering recycling services,” said Allen Langdon, MMBC managing director.

“We are excited about this new depot location and expanding access to the services we offer to residents in the North Okanagan.”

On May 19, 2014, MMBC assumed responsibility for curbside recycling programs within RDNO as a result of provincial regulations. For more information, go to www.RecyclinginBC.ca.
