Armstrong convenience store robbed

Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP are on the lookout for two men after an early morning robbery in Armstrong.

Police officers were called to a report of a robbery at the Armstrong 7-Eleven on Smith Drive at about 5 a.m.

“The manager reported that two men entered the store, and one jumped over the counter and stole cash from the till after pushing the employee,” said RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk.

The two Caucasian men made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

They are described as being about 30 years old. Police have no other description at this time.

The pair may have been associated with an older model silver Toyota van with possibly black rocker panels.

“Police are working to see if they are able to obtain some video footage from businesses in the area,” said Molendyk.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Armstrong RCMP office at 250-546-3028 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
