An Armstrong man has been found guilty of animal cruelty.
Court records show Gary Roberts was found guilty in Vernon Provincial Court Monday of two counts of causing pain/suffering to an animal and failing to provide necessaries for an animal in connection with an incident in December 2014.
More than a dozen horses were seized at that time from an Armstrong home by the B.C. SPCA after they were found to be malnourished.
The remaining herd of horses, numbering close to 100, were ordered to be sold, which they were through an auction conducted by Valley Auction Ltd. in February 2015.
Roberts was acquitted of a third charge of uttering threats.
A date for sentencing will be fixed today.
