The City of Armstrong has won the B.C. leg of the Kraft Celebration Tour, beating out the Kootenay community of Creston.
The announcement was made on TSN’s Sportscentre program Tuesday afternoon.
A crowd of about 200 gathered at the Nor-Val Sports Centre to watch the live announcement.
The win means Armstrong will receive $25,000 to upgrade the aging Hassen Arena, and TSN will broadcast its Sportscentre show from the community in August.
