Allan Asaph has been named the new executive director of the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce.

He brings to the table extensive experience in business and community involvement.
An accomplished speaker, Asaph’s training and experience in a variety of aspects of business development and operations was thought to be an asset towards fulfillment of the Chamber’s vision to be the “voice of business.”
Asaph will be the chamber’s link to every aspect of government affairs and will be instrumental in bringing the chamber’s advocacy role to the next level. With over 20 years of experience in managing a multi-faceted, client-focused organization, he brings a strong background in fact-finding, research analysis and solution development.
“I have seen incredible opportunities that exist for continued growth and development at the chamber,” said Asaph, “and I eagerly look forward to being more closely involved in leading the day-to-day operations to assist the president and board in the continued success of the chamber.”

“We’re excited to take our next step forward,” says chamber president Patrick Giesbrecht. “Allan’s background and ongoing commitment in a volunteer capacity give him the edge to take on this new role.”

Asaph takes over the position which became vacant at the end of June when David Hull resigned at the board’s request.

Hull has been charged with assault related to a domestic incident, as well as criminal harassment. He has yet to stand trial.

Asaph has a Dec. 1 start date and can be reached by calling the office at 604-859-9651 local 302 or by email at allan@abbotsfordchamber.com after that date.
