A 21-year-old woman from Langley and her 22-year-old companion from Surrey are being credited for the arrest of a man suspected of breaking into a White Rock restaurant and stealing beer, cash and tools.
The alleged incident occurred shortly before midnight on Thursday, April 12. White Rock RCMP received a call from the pair who were walking along the promenade when they saw a man, dressed in black, break the side window of Montgomery Cottage Lunch restaurant, located in the 15500 block of Marine Drive.
Alerted by the pair, police were immediately dispatched to the restaurant where they found the suspect still inside.
They arrested Hermann Honig, 47, of White Rock.
Honig has been linked to three other incidents of break and enter at the same location in February, March and April. In each case, money, tools and beer were taken.
Honig, who is in custody, has been charged with four counts of break and enter and is scheduled to appear in court on April 23.
