Building permits bustling in District of Coldstream

In a report to council, 18 permits were issued in the month of August, up from 12 in the same month in 2013.

In a report to council, district building official Bob Bibby reported that in the month of August, 18 permits were issued, up from 12 in the same month in 2013.

“The total construction value for the month was $6,432,000, compared to $2,799,500 for the same month last year,” wrote Bibby.

The number of housing units in 2014 to date in the district (50) is almost twice that for the same period in 2013 and exceeds the year-end total by two.

Total construction value to date ($23,652,148) exceeds the 2013 total for the entire year ($22,236,103) with a full four months to go.

There were 16 new applications for building permits received in August.
