Calgary’s Amanda Lindhout guest speaker at Victoria Foundation dinner

Inspirational A House in the Sky author speaks at Oak Bay Beach Hotel Feb. 26

Learn how to leave a legacy at an exciting event with Amanda Lindhout.

Lindhout is an award-winning humanitarian, former journalist, kidnap survivor, social activist, public speaker and writer. She founded the Global Enrichment Foundation to empower, educate and provide aid in the very country where she lost her freedom.

Lindhout’s path as a woman of unique resilience, vision and action has made her an inspiring example of how one person can enact positive change on a worldwide scale.

The Victoria Foundation, in partnership with the Canadian Association of Gift Planners Vancouver Island Roundtable’s Leave A Legacy committee, is hosting its Leave A Legacy Awareness event with Lindhout on Feb. 26 at the David Foster Foundation Theatre in the Oak Bay Beach Hotel, 1175 Beach Drive.

The event is from 6 to 9:30 p.m., with dinner served at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $75, which includes a served three course dinner with wine, or $90, which includes the three course dinner with wine and Lindhout’s book A House in the Sky.
