With only two-and-a-half weeks left for the 26th annual Light a Bulb campaign, the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation needs help to reach its goal.
Just $106,000 of the $250,000 target has been raised to date for equipment for the sixth and seventh floors of the hospital’s Polson tower.
“We were hoping to be at least halfway there by now,” said Richard Finn, campaign co-chairperson.
Light a Bulb is part of the Building a Tower of Care Campaign, Phase II.
“We are fortunate to have excellent, dedicated medical and support staff at VJH,” said Finn.
“What we need now are beds, new equipment and more rooms. Any shortfalls to the campaign will result in delays to patients getting the care they need.”
To donate, go to www.vjhfoundation.org, drop by the foundation office in the hospital or mail a cheque to the VJH Foundation, 2101 32nd St., Vernon, V1T 5L2.
