Car crashes along Plummer Road

A driver wasn't hurt as her vehicle ended up on its side off the shoulder of the road Sunday.

Firefighters cut the roof off of a car to remove a motorist after a car crash Sunday along Plummer Road.

The driver was wasn’t hurt in the incident, according to Paul Roy, incident commander with the Parksville Fire Department.

The one-vehicle crash happened at about noon and resulted in the Chevrolet Cobalt resting on its side. A jogger reported the crash and an off-duty firefighter who was passing by also provided some assistance.

Firefighters cut open the roof of the car to extricate the motorist, who was pinned inside.
