The City of Vernon is adding its cheers to those being received by Okanagan Spirits Craft Distillery.
Okanagan Spirits won distillery of the year and spirit of the year, as well as retaining its world class distillery designation, at the 2015 World Spirits Awards in Denmark.
“The City of Vernon is proud to have Okanagan Spirits Craft Distillery in our community,” said Coun. Catherine Lord.
“The distillery of the year award speaks volumes about the quality of craft that our community produces. We are becoming known on the world stage as a community that produces world champions in a variety of fields.”
Okanagan Spirits beat out 65 distilleries from around the world for the distillery of the year award. The spirit of the year was awarded to Okanagan Spirits’ blackcurrant liqueur, and the distillery’s three other entries were awarded double gold.
