Nanaimo city council has agreed to release in-camera information on issues ranging from the hiring of the interim city manager to Island Ferries.
Nanaimo city council agreed Monday to release the minutes form in-camera council and committee of the whole meetings between Nov. 1 2015 to Jan. 31, 2016.
Staff members are now vetting the documents, which are expected to be released early next week.
Chris Jackson, the city’s manager of legislative services, said for the most part councillors’ votes will be released and minutes cover issues like Island Ferry Services Ltd., the hiring process for the interim city manager and breach of confidentiality. There will be redactions.
