North Island College is rolling out the welcome mat on Tuesday, Sept. 3, with a variety of informative activities for students attending the Campbell River campus this fall. Classes have been cancelled to make way for a day of helpful and fun events.
The day will get underway at 8:30 a.m. with a pancake breakfast at the Gathering Place. Then at 9:30 a.m., students will move inside to learn more about their programs and to meet their instructors, college staff and North Island Students’ Union representatives. A complimentary barbecue lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m.
A series of workshops is planned for the afternoon, ranging from A Survivor’s Guide to Essay Writing, to budgeting basics and tips on surviving September and beyond.
On Orientation Day returning students can reconnect with classmates and instructors, buy course materials, and find out what’s new at NIC. For complete event details, visit www.nic.bc.ca
Classes will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
