The provincial government has awarded Dawson Construction a contract to resurface and widen the shoulders on 6.2 km of Highway 5 south of McLure, as well as McLure Ferry Road and Glenacre Road. The contract is worth nearly $2.3 million.

“The resurfacing and shoulder improvements will make Highway 5 safer and much smoother to drive. Area residents, tourists, cyclists, and commercial vehicles will see a big benefit,” said Kamloops-North Thompson MLA Terry Lake
