An organization best known for touring the B.C. Interior to raise money for children in need is taking its message to the golf course later this month.
Cops for Kids is a charitable foundation dedicated to supporting children in medical, physical or traumatic crisis. The organization is made of RCMP members and supporters in the RCMP Southern Interior region.
Each fall, a Cops For Kids contingent embarks on a grueling 10-day ride through the region, raising funds and awareness for the foundation.
This year, Creston’s RCMP detachment is organizing its first annual Cops For Kids golf tournament, to be held on June 28 at Kokanee Springs Golf Resort in Crawford Bay. The limited entry tourney will be a Texas scramble with plenty of prizes and a raffle. The $69 entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, a power cart and dinner. Rooms at the resort are available to participants at a special rate.
