Saanich police are asking residents in Prospect Lake and Royal Oak neighbourhoods to be mindful of kids and pets after a cougar was seen roaming the areas.
Police had two separate reports on July 6 of a cougar near Prospect Lake, including from one resident who saw it pass through his backyard. On Monday night, a cougar was seen on a trail on the south side of Rithet’s Bog, near Emily Carr Drive.
In late June, a cougar was seen prowling around Wlikinson Road jail.
