A memo reviewed by the Regional Transit Committee was released to staff of the District of Houston, which calculated the program cost for the Hwy. 16 B.C. Transit Service for each community on the corridor, and for those off it.
Based on one fare per person, annual cost for those communities on the corridor would be charged $5.00 per person, and$1.00 per person annually for those communities off corridor.

The memo also stated that other funding sources, such as grants and donations, will be explored and placed in reserves and/or shared equally among the partners to reduce their costs.
On Dec. 6 council for the District of Houston committed to provide up to $15,600 in funding to B.C. Transit for the 2017fiscal year to operate the Regional Transit Service.
