The regular meeting of municipal council was held on Jan. 13 in council chambers.
The mayor and all members of council were present.
Fence allowed
A development variance permit was issued for 19004 Garnett Valley Road to legitimize a fence constructed at the property.
Free roaming horses addressed
Council will provide a letter of support tot he Regional District of Okanagan Similkameen supporting their Community to Community Special Project: Free Roaming Horses.
The corporate officer and the bylaw enforcement officer will participate in meeting with multiple stakeholders to address the free roaming horse issue.
Fees waived
Council granted a request to waive the fees for Centre Stage Theatre for a fundraising concert.
The Play It Forward concert was held on Saturday, Jan. 11.
Municipal staff will amend the existing Policy for Providing Grants-in-Aid, in order to establish clear guidelines and procedures for handling future waiver requests.
