There has been only a couple of wildfires in the area, and none of them large enough or near human settlements to be of note, except for a recent one near Coyote Springs Monday, August 27.
The fire was a mere ten metres square, and the Initial Attack crew put it out easily and quickly.
“The cause of the fire is unknown and it is being investigated,” said Fire Information Officer Karlie Shaugnessey.
The only other fire in the area was another spot fire 0.1 hectares in sized about one kilometre northeast of Whatshan Lake, which was also extinguished quickly.
