Some Vernon commuters were impacted by a motor vehicle accident Wednesday morning.
Vernon firefighters and the RCMP responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 4400 block of 25th Avenue at about 7 a.m.
The accident forced the closure of the eastbound lanes on 25th Avenue and the westbound lanes were used for alternating traffic.
It is believed the incident occurred when a van struck a semi-truck sitting in the centre-turn lane before turning into a local business.
The accident remains under investigation by the RCMP.
