Creston RCMP responded to 57 calls for service from Jan. 16-22, Staff Sgt. Bob Gollan said on Jan 23.

January 18

•A personal panic alarm was apparently triggered when its bearer was shovelling snow on 11th Avenue South.

•An Alberta vehicle was reported to have passed a school bus displaying flashing lights at Erickson School. The licence plate number provided by a witness turned out to be incorrect and the vehicle could not be traced.

•Police received a complaint from an Erickson Road male about unwanted emails from an ex-girlfriend.

•A break-in on 15th Avenue South netted thieves an Excalibur bow, arrows and a Husqvarna chainsaw. Anyone seeing a person practising for the target-shooting and tree-felling biathlon is asked to contact the RCMP.

•A dispute among three females about the tagging of a Facebook photo was resolved.

•Police were unable to trace the source of a 911 call transmitted from a cellphone tower near Topaz Creek on Highway 3.
