PORT McNEILL—A season-long construction project will limit traffic on the Nimpkish River bridge to a single lane this spring and summer, the contractor announced this week.
Neelco Builders Ltd. embark Mar. 31 on Phase 1 of a deck replacement on the bridge, located just south of Port McNeill.
Work is scheduled to be completed on or before Sept. 30.
Commuters traveling down-Island are notified to be aware of potential travel delays during this period.
Single-lane, alternating traffic will be in effect 24 hours a day and the speed limit in the project area will be reduced to 50 km per hour. Traffic will be controlled by a combination of a temporary traffic signal and traffic control personnel.
