While the District of 100 Mile House election results are still unofficial, it appears the electorate was content with last term’s incumbents, as there is no change at the council table.
Mayor Mitch Campsall retained his seat as mayor by 10 votes (295) in the Nov. 15 local local elections.
In the second hotly contested election, Maureen Pinkney, who received 285 votes, fell just short of winning the District’s top political position.
Today (Nov. 17), Pinkney says she hasn’t decided whether she will be asking for recount.
District councillor seats saw all four incumbents retain their seats, including Dave Mingo (425), Ralph Fossum (386), Bill Hadden (385) and Spence Henderson (307).
The three unsuccessful councillor candidates were Rita Giesbrecht (231), John McCarvill (176) and Peter Reid (143).
