Donation jar stolen in grab-and-dash

A male grabbed a donation jar off the front counter of the 100 Mile House 7-Eleven

At 4 a.m. on Aug. 12, a male entered the 100 Mile House 7-Eleven and walked around in the store.

He waited until staff were occupied and then grabbed a donation jar off the front counter and tried to run out the door.

The jar was wired to the counter, so he pulled a number of items onto the floor before the wire broke and he ran out of the store.

The amount of the money in the donation jar was approximately $30.

The male was described as wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and white shoes with a grey bandanna partially covering the lower part of his face.

He is described as being Caucasian and approximately 5-foot-3, with a thin build and dark blond hair.

Anyone having knowledge of this incident or knowledge of the identity of this individual is asked to call the 100 Mile House RCMP at 250-395-2456 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
