The CRD Finance/Budget Committee approved the draft 2012 budget with the addition of funding for a second bylaw officer.
Noting the current, solitary bylaw officer oversees complaints across more than 80,000 square kilometres, CRD chair Al Richmond says the board is inundated with bylaw follow-up issues at its town-hall meetings.
“Sometimes it can be two weeks before our fellow can get around to some of these places where we have complaints.”
The draft budgets for the Cariboo Regional Hospital District and Cariboo Chilcotin Regional Hospital District were also approved.
