An eco depot will replace the North Okanagan’s annual Household Hazardous Waste Round-Up.

There will be no one-day Round-Up in 2015 as the Regional District of North Okanagan is finalizing arrangements to provide residents with a year-round household hazardous waste drop-off facility.

“This facility, or eco depot, is expected to be open this fall,” said Dale Danallanko, with RDNO.

“The objective is to provide a single, convenient location for residents to drop off a wide range of recyclable or divertible products.”

Details regarding the location, hours of operation and items accepted at the RDNO eco depot will be provided once arrangements have been finalized and the facility is operational.
