About 20 electric cars will be on display prior to the Victoria Royals game at Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre tomorrow afternoon (Jan. 31).
Organized by the Victoria Leaf Club, the “return of the electric car” event will feature commuter vehicles like the Nissan Leaf, Mitsubishi i-MiEV, SmartCar, Tesla and other electric municipal vehicles, said Fred Wissemann, president of Victoria Leaf Club.
“Colwood is bringing one of its Might-E Trucks,” he said. “That’s what our club is all about, we’re trying to promote green cars and show they really are returning.”
Cars will be on display from 3:30 p.m. until Friday’s 7:05 p.m. game time against the Vancouver Giants.
Various EV dealerships will also showcase their vehicles in the arena’s concourse.
