Enderby residents invited to pitch in

Public can show their civic pride by helping clean up the community Saturday.

Residents are being urged to participate in the fourth annual Our Enderby Clean-Up Challenge.

Enderby residents can show their civic pride by helping to clean up and beautify areas throughout the community Saturday.

“The Clean-Up Challenge is a great opportunity for our community to come together and beautify our great city,” said Mayor Greg McCune.

“We encourage everyone to take part in the Clean-Up Challenge in any way they can. Whether you’re a resident cleaning up your yard, a business owner cleaning up your premises or a group cleaning up your neighbourhood, every little bit helps.”

Participants will gather at 10 a.m. in the city hall parking lot and the event runs until noon. It will then be followed by an appreciation barbecue at noon in Belvidere Park hosted by the Enderby Lions Club.  Participants will be provided with food and refreshments to celebrate their community contribution.

“Participants are encouraged to take photos and utilize social media, such as the Our Enderby Facebook page, to showcase how they are strengthening Enderby as a clean, beautiful community,” said McCune.
