Every student and staff member at Edwin S. Richards elementary school wore a t-shirt, provided by the school’s PAC, and attended a school assembly to recognize Bully Awareness Day on Wednesday, Feb. 26.
“… We chose to concentrate on respect and standing up, knowing that it takes just one person to make a difference in another’s life,” said Jan Minty, school principal.
Students learned how to stand up to bullies and not become victims. They were also reminded that the school’s acronym, ESR, also stood for Every Student Respected.
