WorkZone is hosting a job fair next week for Value Village, which is looking to hire 50 employees.

“We are hiring 30 full-time people whose schedules will be Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with limited Saturdays. In total we are looking for 50 new members to join our team and become part of a great store that takes care of its employees,” said Heather Ballum, Value Village store manager.

Ballum said employee benefits are a great asset to working at Value Village. Plans include 30 to 50 per cent off merchandise, extended health and dental plan, RRSP, deferred profit sharing and sick pay.

WorkZone, a local employment centre that offers free employment specialists to individuals who seek assistance in job search and programs related to employment, will host the job fair at their office at 101 – 575 Main St. Interviews will be conducted on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Interviews will be done on a first come, first serve basis and applicants are expected to provide their resume, cover letter, references and be prepared for an on the spot interview.

“WorkZone members and clients have the opportunity to interview, and if they are a good fit for the Value Village team then they move into a second interview. At this time, references will be checked and people could be offered employment on the spot,” said Greg Lewis, WorkZone’s facilitator.
