Financial assistance is being directed towards some key Falkland organizations.
The Columbia-Shuswap Regional District is providing a $5,000 grant to the Falkland-Westwold First Responders Society, while there is $26,607 for the Falkland Community Hall Association.
The $26,607 will come from the community works fund and it will go towards efficiency upgrades for lighting, wall insulation and window replacement at the hall.
