Farmers’ Markets in Ladysmith, Chemainus
The Ladysmith Farmers Market sets up at Transfer Beach Tuesdays from 1 to 5 p.m. starting June 2 and running through to Sept 8.
Organized by the Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce, the market offers a ‘homespun guarantee. “Vendors must make, bake or grow the products they are selling. Complete knowledge of the product and creation process is required,” say the rules.
The Chemainus Wednesday Market is also gearing up for an exciting summer.
Starting May 20 and running clear through to Sept. 23, with the exception of July 1, the vendors are in place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Organizers are challenging Valley residents to take a spin to Chemainus for the chance to purchase something that’s both unique and locally made.
