Water bombers were brought in Sunday to help firefighters quell a blaze discovered earlier in the day.
The fire is located about seven kilometres up Burma Road, which runs along the west side of Stave Lake in northern Mission.
Mission Fire/Rescue Service was called out after someone spotted smoke billowing into sky. Firefighters found a slash pile ablaze once they arrived.
