Tulameen residents have been put on evacuation alert due to flood concerns brought on by the spring thaw.
The alert was issued late Wednesday afternoon by the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen and advises residents to be ready to leave on short notice.
Those who do leave are asked to register at a reception centre that’s been set up in Princeton.
Tulameen has a population of about 250 people and is 20 kilometres northwest of Princeton. The townsite is sandwiched between the south shore of Otter Lake and the Tulameen River.
