Eric Foster is looking towards next year’s provincial election.

The current MLA has been acclaimed as the Liberal candidate for Vernon-Monashee.

“A love and commitment to public service is why I’m running again,” said Foster, who was first elected in 2009.

“My focus is to continue bringing people together, support small business, attract new tourism opportunities, invest in local arts and culture, green transportation, and new infrastructure like never before.”

He is the government whip and a member of the environment and land Use committee. He serves on the select standing committee finance.

Foster is a former Lumby mayor and Regional District of North Okanagan board chairperson, and a registered forest technician.

The provincial election is May 9.
